We have been asked by Rochford District Council to share the following information to small businesses in the district whom may be eligible for cash grants as a consequence of the Government’s response to COVID-19. Businesses can now submit their details on the Council’s website for a cash grant, if they are located in the district and meet the eligibility criteria.
This refers to the previous announcements from central government: Businesses who are eligible for Small Business Rate Relief or Rural Rate Relief in England will be entitled to a one-off cash grant of £10,000. Businesses in the retail, hospitality or leisure sector may also be entitled to a cash grant. If you have a property with a rateable value up to and including £15,000 then you will be entitled to a grant of £10,000. If you have a property with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000 then you will be entitled to a cash grant of £25,000.
