WARNING: The latest scam phone call you need to be aware of


There's been a fair share of scam callers claiming to be from the Inland Revenue or other similar bodies. Here's the latest call that you need to be aware of.


This call involves an automated message telling the recipient 'failure to appear in court will result in the suspension of your National Insurance number' Victims of the scam were then asked to call a number in order to 'resolve the issue'


This has been confirmed as a scam.


If you do receive this message, do not phone any telephone number that they have provided and never provide your personal information including banking and credit card details.


If you do receive this message or call please email phishing@hmrc.gov.uk with details including the date of the call, phone number used and the content of the call. This will help with further ongoing investigations.
